There's a lot of junkola out there, too, so sometimes it doesn't take all that much to exploit. I've personally moved onto blogs because they're easy to update and keep fresh, but article sites I built years ago continue to get traffic and bring in money (sometimes I'm surprised how well they do!), though I haven't updated them in ages.
